IYO SKY Wins WWE Queen of the Ring and Announces SummerSlam Opponent

IYO SKY is the 2026 WWE Queen of the Ring, partly thanks to Danhausen’s curse.

The WWE Night of Champions Premium Live Event is currently underway at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The second match featured IYO SKY battling Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan in the finals of the 2026 Queen of the Ring Tournament.

Danhausen made his way out to the stage before the match could begin and addressed the crowd in Riyadh. Liv Morgan interrupted him and demanded that he return the $100,000 he took from Judgment Day. Dominik Mysterio gave him the human monies to curse Oba Femi, but he didn’t do it. The Very Evil, Very Nice star didn’t take Morgan’s warning too kindly and cursed her in return, but ended up getting slapped by the Women’s World Champion.

The match began normally, and it was pretty even for the most part at first. However, Liv Morgan soon gained control. IYO SKY regained the momentum after reversing a Boston Crab attempt from Morgan. After performing an Asai Moonsault on the Women’s World Champion outside the ring, she dragged her back in and hit a backbreaker for a near fall.

IYO SKY immediately announced which champion she’s facing at WWE SummerSlam

However, as she climbed up the turnbuckles, attempting to perform her finisher, Liv Morgan pushed her, and IYO SKY appeared to have hurt her knee when she landed on the steel steps. Morgan then targeted the knee and locked her in a submission, but Sky broke out of it.

The final moments of the match saw the two superstars taking it to the top turnbuckle, and IYO SKY pulled through the pain to perform a Spanish Fly. She then followed it up with the Over the Moonsault to get the pin and become the Queen of the Ring, or as Michael Cole put it, the Queen of the Sky.

IYO SKY accepted the crown from SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis and immediately told Liv Morgan that she’s coming for her and the Women’s World Championship at SummerSlam.
