Nikki Blackheart has officially confirmed the name she’ll be using in WWE NXT, ending days of speculation following her surprise debut on the brand.
The announcement came through social media. The new NXT sensation reflected on leaving one identity behind while embracing the next chapter of her career.
Her arrival already turned heads with a shocking attack on Tatum Paxley. Now, the mystery surrounding her WWE identity has finally been settled, proving that sometimes a name change is more than just a fresh coat of ring gear.
Reina Volcán officially begins her WWE NXT journey
One week after making her NXT debut, Blackheart revealed that she will now compete as Reina Volcán. During last week’s closing segment, coverage around her attack on Tatum Paxley didn’t highlight her identity.
Instead, commentator Vic Joseph simply described her as “one of the most talked about women in the industry” while noting that NXT had become “stronger and badder” with her arrival.
In a heartfelt post on X, Blackheart thanked everyone who supported her under her previous ring name. Moreover, she explained the personal meaning behind that name as she chooses to walk a new path.
“Nikki Blackheart, thank you for one hell of a ride,” she wrote. She recalled asking her coach, Gangrel, for advice before adopting the name because of his connection to The Blackhearts in Japan. According to Blackheart, Gangrel replied, “Do it. Just make sure you represent it well.”
She added that she always tried to honor those words and thanked fans for helping put Nikki Blackheart “on the map.” Looking ahead, she closed the message by saying, “On to new beginnings.”
Blackheart also cleared up any confusion surrounding her new identity with a playful reminder. She said, “It’s not ‘Queen Volcano’ or ‘Queen of Volcanoes.’ It’s Reina Volcán… not everything needs to be translated.”
According to previous reports, WWE filed a trademark for the Reina Volcán name on June 8. Bryan Alvarez also reported that trademark-related details were still being finalized following her debut, which explains why WWE initially withheld her new name.
With that now confirmed, Reina Volcán can officially step into the spotlight as the newest addition to the NXT roster, ready to make her mark rather than just make an entrance.
