After nearly four months out with an injury, Trey Miguel is finally ready to make his TNA return. The former International Champion has confirmed that he has been medically cleared, bringing his long recovery to an end.
Miguel got hurt while defending the TNA International Championship against Mustafa Ali at TNA Rebellion on April 11. During the match, he fractured his kneecap but still managed to finish the match. Ali won the match and ended Miguel’s 57-day title reign.
After the event, Miguel revealed that he wouldn’t need surgery, but he knew the recovery would take time. He later posted a video of his workout wearing a knee brace.
At first, doctors expected him to start training again after four to six weeks. Moreover, TNA hoped he could return within six to eight weeks. However, the recovery took longer than expected and has kept him out for almost four months.
