Trey Miguel has officially re-signed with TNA.
TNA Wrestling confirmed the news on social media and noted that the announcement was first reported by Battleground Podcast.
“TNA Wrestling confirmed today that Trey Miguel has re-signed with the company, as first reported by iHeartRadio’s Battleground podcast,” the company stated on its official website.
Miguel’s return to TNA comes after a turbulent period in his career. He initially returned to the promotion earlier this year following his departure from AEW, which was linked to resurfaced past social media posts, including a 2020 Facebook post that contained homophobic language, for which he apologized.
Although he reportedly signed a deal with TNA at the time, it appears the agreement may have been short-term. Miguel made his return on the January 22 episode of TNA iMPACT, where he quickly made an impact (excuse the pun) by winning a briefcase that earned him a shot at the International Championship. He later capitalized on that opportunity by capturing the title at No Surrender 2026.
Miguel’s championship reign, however, was cut short at TNA Rebellion, where he defended the International Title against Mustafa Ali. During the match, Miguel suffered a broken patella but still managed to finish the bout, ultimately dropping the championship.
Despite the serious injury, TNA provided an update last week during the iMPACT broadcast confirming that Miguel is expected to be medically cleared within six to eight weeks, keeping him on track for an eventual return to in-ring competition.
