AEW’s Kyle Fletcher Confirms He Wasn’t Injured During Recent Health Scare

AEW‘s Kyle Fletcher confirms he didn’t get injured during a recent match.

Speaking on his YouTube vlog, new AEW International Champion Kyle Fletcher confirmed that he didn’t suffer an injury during his match against El Phantasmo on the July 2, 2026, episode of AEW Collision. As reports indicated, Fletcher revealed that he was just dehydrated.

“The last match I had with El Phantasmo, people at the show thought I got hurt, and then it came out that I was just dehydrated,” Fletcher began. “So, what happened was literally as soon as the match finished, I started [to get], you know, that feeling when you dry heave like you haven’t got anything in your stomach, and then you just start like having that reflux…

“So, I rolled out of the ring, and I tried to hide myself under the apron. I think someone got a video of that, which is lovely. Thanks so much for that. And then they managed to get me over to the doctor’s area. I just was on all fours. They were pouring water over my head, trying to cool me down. But yeah, I wasn’t hurt,” Fletcher confirmed.

“I just had this, like, speaking to the doctors and stuff, it was an accumulation of stress, fatigue, like the day of, not eating enough, not drinking enough. So, it was a combination of all these things that just made my body react that way. I was just so done on nutrients and whatever,” Fletcher said.

Flether competed on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, where he defeated Konosuke Takeshita to win the International Championship.
