WWE continued teasing Big Cass’ return on the July 20, 2026, episode of RAW by airing another vignette. This time, the video revisited his 2018 release and looked back at the tough times, including injuries and personal struggles.
The vignette showed how Cass went from being one of WWE’s rising stars to someone whose career fell apart. It also made it clear that his return is being presented as a comeback story built on redemption, not just nostalgia.
WWE looks back at Big Cass’ toughest years
The new vignette followed the same style as last week’s video but shared more of Cass’ journey.
It showed his rise in WWE before highlighting how injuries, being called “unreliable,” and mental health struggles changed everything. Eventually, those problems led to him losing his WWE job.
Cass narrated the video himself, saying, “Even if you haven’t reached the top, you have no idea just how far you can fall.”
The video focused on how much he went through and how hard he has worked to rebuild his life and career. Just like last week, the vignette ended by showing the date 8/3, once again hinting that Big Cass will return on the August 3 episode of RAW, the night after SummerSlam.
However, WWE once again made no mention of Enzo Amore, despite rumors that the former tag team partners could reunite.
Cass signed with WWE in 2011 and started in the company’s developmental system as Colin Cassady before FCW became NXT. His career really took off in 2013 when he teamed up with Enzo Amore.
The pair became one of NXT’s most popular acts thanks to their entertaining promos, crowd interaction, and famous catchphrases. They were even named NXT Tag Team of the Year in 2015.
They made their main roster debut on the RAW after WrestleMania 32 in 2016. The team split in June 2017 when Big Cass turned on Enzo and began a singles run. Unfortunately, that push didn’t last long. Just two months later, he tore his ACL during a Street Fight with Enzo, forcing him to miss around eight months.
Cass returned to SmackDown in April 2018 and immediately started a feud with Daniel Bryan, but his comeback didn’t last very long. WWE released Big Cass in June 2018, after several reported backstage issues.
