Nikki Cross has returned to the ring after her WWE release in April.
Nikki Cross was among the many superstars WWE released as part of its post-WrestleMania 42 talent cuts on April 24. Yesterday marked the end of their 90-day non-compete period, and they all officially became free agents.
The former Wyatt Sicks member didn’t wait long to return to the ring as she competed in a mixed tag team match at yesterday’s OTT After Dark event at The Button Factory in Dublin, Ireland. She teamed with her husband, Big Damo (former WWE star Killian Dain), to defeat The Weirdos (Frankie Vendetta & Kat Von Kay). She performed under the name Nikki Storm, which she previously used in the independent circuit.
The former WWE star also shared this message on Instagram after the match: “Hey there @damomackle Thank you for the invite tonight, glad I could lend you a hand. After having conflicting schedules for the better part of ten years, it felt damn nice to be in a ring again with my love. The Best in the Galaxy at @over_the_top_wrestling tonight! See you all in August.”
Nikki Cross and Big Damo also own the Progress Wrestling and DEFY Wrestling promotions. Cross is also set to make her Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling debut at the MLP Mayhem TV tapings on August 7 and 8 in Windsor, Ontario.
Along with Nikki Cross, the rest of her Wyatt Sicks partners, Aleister Black, Zelina Vega, the Motor City Machine Guns, Kairi Sane, Santos Escobar, and Zoey Stark have all become free agents. It will be interesting to see the next chapter in the post-WWE careers of these superstars.
