Tiffany Stratton is stepping into WWE SummerSlam looking to become a dual champion.
During a recent appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Stratton talked about her upcoming match at the show. She’ll be taking part in a five-way ladder match for the Interim WWE Women’s Championship after Rhea Ripley had to vacate it.
Stratton, already the current reigning WWE Women’s United States Champion, is looking to become “Tiffy Two Belts” by the end of the show. She also opened up about the show being in Minnesota, her hometown, and what that means for her at this point in her career.
“This is kind of my first big hometown moment,” Stratton said of performing in Minnesota. “I feel like I’ve had one other match in Minnesota. It was in the tournament for the US Championship. It was when the championship was first introduced and I was in the tournament for it. I won, but then I think I lost the next match. But I remember wrestling in front of Minnesota and the crowd was just so insane and there’s so much wrestling history in Minnesota, and I believe I’m the only female that comes out of Minnesota which is really cool.”
Tiffany Stratton plans on becoming “Tiffy Two Belts”
Tiffany Stratton called getting a chance to compete for the WWE Women’s Championship after winning the United States Championship a “surreal” moment. She also gave herself a new moniker, and said she’ll even put it on a shirt once she wins.
“It’s such a perfect moment for me. It’s a perfect time in my career. I feel like I’m developed. I feel I have such a big resume now. So, everyone understands the character. So, to have it be in SummerSlam, to have it be during this time in my career while I also have another title. It’s going to be so surreal. I’m going to walk out as Tiffy Two Belts, Tiffy Two Titles. I’m going to walk out as the WWE Women’s Champion and the US Women’s Champion. And, we’re going to get Tiffy two titles on a t-shirt.”
