Cena applied the STF with no problems earlier, but Barrett escaped. This time, Cena basically couldn’t move his right leg and it was obvious that it was an on the spot ending. I also heard Just Roberts say, “That’s not good.” He then motioned to the ref to get the trainers from the back. While lying in the ring, everyone including Roberts was around Cena, who then finally stood up on his own. He could barely stand and then motioned for a mic.
Cena told the crowd: “I think I hurt myself pretty bad and might be out for awhile, hope not, but that happens I guess.” He thanked us all and said that he loves and respects us all and goodnight. It was apparent that Cena was sincerely struggling to not only stand but to talk as well. He left the ring on his own slowly, but the trainers and the refs were right there in case he fell.
