Notes About The Show:
Jamie Keyes was the ring announcer for the evening.
Matt Martlaro & Abraham Washington acted as the TV announcers for this event.
Dos Equis was Orlando “Tito” Colon in a mask. I’m surprised he went over Protis Clay (the former G-Rilla)… Perhaps he is in the running to be a masked luchador on the main roster?
Hunico’s win over Mason Ryan was a bit of surprise, and was reminiscent of the Mysterio-Batista feud a few months ago.
The six diva tag match may possibly have been the best diva’s match I’ve seen in the FCW Arena. Lots of hard work from all six, and even the mic work mentioned before the match was strong.
Skip Sheffield, a longtime favorite at the FCW Arena worked as a heel there for the first time since his “Ryback” days. I’m sensing a possible alliance between Sheffield and Regal on Raw may be in works.
“The South Beach Boys” (Darren Young & Percy Watson) worked together at the FCW Arena for the first time since Young was introduced on NXT. They still worked together quite well despite losing to Smackdown’s newest tag team, Curt Hawkins & Vance Archer.
Trent Baretta and Jimmy Uso had a fantastic match loaded with high spots, near falls, and a ton of heat. The Uso’s and The Dudebusters always seem to bring their “A” game regardless of the venue or if it’s on TV. I hope the WWE appreciates the quality of work all four of these guys consistently bring and rewards them for it.
Newest online roster additions, Devin Allen & Rhys Ali, both assisted with the show.
Brett DiBiase, Richie Steamboat, Kaval, & Cable Jones are all still out on the injured list. Alberto Banderas (Dos Caras) and David Otunga are both listed to work main roster house shows this week and weren’t present.
Other roster talent noticeably not present at the show included Aksana, Bo Rotundo, Derrick Bateman, Duke Rotundo, Jackson Andrews, Johnny Curtis, Johnny Prime, Michael Tarver, & Rudy Parker
George Murdoch is still listed as “G-Rilla” and Orlando Colon is still listed as “Tito Colon” on the online roster despite working as Protis Clay and Dos Equis, respectively.
