MMA VS. TNA: SUBMISSION MATCH: "The Boss" Bobby Lashley vs. Samoa Joe: I’m not sure how this one is going to play out. It could be a disaster if TNA decides to go in the direction of having Lashley work an MMA style with Joe working a wrestling style, or it could be surprisingly good if the match comes off similar to Angle and Joe’s MMA-type match. I think the key is that both guys have to be on the same page right from the get go. Lashley is nowhere near as good of a technical wrestler as either Joe or Angle, so he is going to have to rely on more of a submission style approach to this match so that both men stay grounded. Although this might get boring after awhile, both guys can eventually stand the match up on its feet and work some throws into the mix. Ultimately, however, I don’t see how Lashley winning this match will benefit Samoa Joe or TNA at all if reports are true that Lashely will be sporadically working with TNA as he pursues his MMA career. Having a guy waltz in and out of your company every now and then and beat up your top guys is not a good way of showcasing your full-time talent, and it basically implies that MMA fighters are better than pro wrestlers.
