Backstage: Edge & Vickie Guerrero Divorce

Backstage we see Chavo apologizing to Vickie. She is mad she lost her Miss WrestleMania title. They walk by a lot of Divas and wrestlers. Goldust and Hornswoggle mock Vickie. They make their way to Vickie’s office and see Edge sitting on her couch. Edge tells Vickie to look what she’s become since only two months away from him. He said he has to face Jeff Hardy without her help. He tells Vickie to get a good divorce attorney. He says tonight it all ends, first Jeff Hardy and then this sham of a marriage. Vickie sits down and cries as the segment ends.

Steel Cage Match:

(WWE Title)

-Randy Orton (c) vs. Batista

Both men make their way to the cage. The bell rings to start the match and Orton quickly scurries to the cage and tries climbing out. Batista pulls him back down and they fight on the top rope against the cage for a minute. Orton goes for the punt kick but misses. Batista goes for the Batista-bomb but Orton escapes. Orton tries the RKO but Batista shoves him away. Batista hits the Batista-bomb and pins him clean to win the title.

Winner and NEW WWE champion: Batista

Submission Match:

-John Cena vs. Big Show

Early into the match, Cena goes for the STF but couldn’t lock it in. I guess that’ll be a big part of the story of the match later on. Big Show has control of offense, dominating Cena early. Cena has some sort of choke-lock on Big Show from his back. Show slowly fell to his knees and is fading. Show eventually escapes. Show ties Cena’s head and neck into the ropes. Cena powers out. Big Show squashes Cena and tries the Vader bomb but Cena moves. Cena tries a bodyslam but Show is too big and falls on him. Show tries a chokeslam but Cena escapes and DDT’s him. Cena tries for the STF but Show is too big. Cena again tries for the STF, he gets it this time and Big Show taps out.

Winner: John Cena
