In-The-Ring: Vickie Guerrero
We return from commercial and RAW GM Vickie Guerrero is introduced. She says she has an announcement to make. She says before that she wants to remind people of recent events. A video package again airs showing the destruction Randy Orton has caused to the McMahon family, including tonight’s interaction with Shane and Orton. We return and she says as a result of that, next week’s main event will be Randy Orton vs. Shane McMahon.
Number One Contender:
Big Show vs. Batista
Big Show is out first, followed by "The Animal" Batista. Slow, sloppy start. Big Show tries a chokeslam but Batista reverses it into a near-attempt on the Batista-bomb. He fails and Big Show clotheslines him. We go to commercial. We return and Batista is kicking out from a pinfall attempt by The Big Show. Big Show pushes Batista into the corner and chops him. Big Show with big punches to the body of Batista in the corner. Big Show picks up a laid-out Batista, but Batista explodes with energy and attacks Big Show. Big Show quickly slows down Batista’s momentum with a big boot that drops The Animal. Big Show stomping on Batista. Big Show stretching Batista around the ringside post on the outside. Loud "Ba-tis-ta" chant from the crowd. Batista starts to slowly fight back but Big Show knocks him down with another big shot to the stomach. Bodyslam by Big Show. Big Show drops a big elbow on Batista. Big Show pulling on the neck of Batista on the ground. Batista tries to break free but Big Show applies the hold again. Batista uses the ropes to pull himself back up. Another big body shot from Big Show and now he’s bear-hugging Batista. Crowd having trouble staying into this. Batista breaks out of the bear-hug and gives Big Show a big boot. Batista tries clotheslining Big Show twice but he won’t fall. A third clothesline attempt and Big Show ducks, but Batista lands a huge spinebuster. Batista is calling for the Batista-bomb. Big Show gets up and drops Batista, who falls out of the ring. We see John Cena slowly and painfully trying to walk down the ramp. Big Show sees him and turns around. The two stare at each other as Batista rolls back into the ring. Big Show doesn’t make it back to the ring in time and Batista wins by countout. So Cena screws Big Show tonight to pay back Big Show for screwing him last night at Backlash. Batista spears Big Show and his music hits. He’ll be facing Randy Orton at Judgment Day for the WWE title.
