Booker T addressed rumors about being connected to the Signature Pharmacy scandal while under contract with WWE during todayâ<80><99>s Spike TV media conference call. Booker said that he never ordered anything from Signature and has never used his credit card on the Internet to buy anything. Booker claimed that WWE â<80><9c>didnâ<80><99>t protectâ<80> him. When asked how is name was on the list when he didnâ<80><99>t order anything he said, “I really can’t answer that question. I believe in conspiracy theories. I believe I was a scapegoat. I don’t know.”
The former World Heavyweight Champion also claimed that when he first heard about WWEâ<80><99>s new Wellness Program the first person that he called was Dr. David Black (who oversees the program for WWE) but never got to speak with him because he did not return his phone call.
The other newsworthy bit from todayâ<80><99>s conference call is that Booker said that he is currently working on a documentary about his career and that he had his brother Stevie Ray currently have some issues but he was hopeful that they would be able to put them to rest.
