RVD/WWE, Austin, WWE Attendances, More

Partial Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

The future of Rob Van Dam in WWE is very much up in the air. Apparently, Van Dam rejected WWEâ<80><99>s latest contract offer. I have heard RVD is open to the idea of re-signing with WWE, but would like to receive his down-side guarantee while taking a break from the ring, which of course, hasnâ<80><99>t been agreed to by WWE. There are various reports regarding the date when RVDâ<80><99>s current contract actually expires. I donâ<80><99>t have this 100% confirmed, but multiple sources have told me his current WWE contract expires in June or July.

Here are some recent WWE attendance figures and live gates:

– 4/14 Smackdown in Perugla, Italy drew 2,100 paid ($150,000 gate)

– 4/14 Raw in Florence, Italy did 2,900 fans ($196,000)

– 4/19 Smackdown in Ancona, Italy drew 1,285 paid ($89,000)

Apparently the disappointing numbers has cooled off talks of WWE creating international territories.
