Edge Talks Possible WWE TV Return, TV Show, Movie

Recently retired WWE Superstar Edge spoke with IGN.com about his recurring role on the SyFy show “Haven,” as well as his new movie “Bending the Rules” and other WWE-related subjects.

When asked whether or not Edge would be returning to WWE television to promote his upcoming role in the film “Bending The Rules,” Edge stated, “Honestly, I don’t know. I haven’t talked to them about coming back. I haven’t talked to them at all, aside from some appearances here and there. At SummerSlam I have an autograph session but I think everyone understands that I need time away from it and I need to kind of remove myself from it now. Will it be necessary to go back to promote the movie? Possibly.”

When asked about life after WWE, Edge said, “Well, it’s weird. I retired and then I haven’t really been home since. It’s been a whirlwind actually. I retired but I told them that I’d still go on the European tour because I was advertised. I thought ‘well that’s really going to suck because not only are they not going to get a World Title match now but one of the guys who was advertised for the match isn’t there.’ So I decided I’d go to Europe to make an appearance at the shows. And then as soon as I came back from there I got a call asking me if I wanted to be on Haven. I said ‘yeah, that would be great.’ Then I went down to Tampa for the next Pay Per View, Extreme Rules, for when Christian won the title. From there I flew up to Nova Scotia and started shooting. And in between I’ve had a week here and there off sort of thing but basically all summer I was in Nova Scotia. This is my first real opportunity now to understand what it’s all going to be like.”
