11/29 TNA Impact Wrestling Rating – Did the X-Division Title Match Help the Numbers?

Thursday's episode of TNA Impact Wrestling drew in an average of 1.3 million views over two hours, and ended with a 1.02 cable television rating. This is a great number to see after the Thanksgiving edition of Impact drew a six-year low.

This week's show started strong with a 0.92 in the first quarter, and lept up to a 1.0, which is the first time TNA has broke the threshold in the first hour of Impact Wrestling. The show stayed strong, with AJ Styles and James Storm's tag team match bringing in the second highest rating of the next. Ratings spiked to their highest, a 1.09 immediately after the X-Division championship match was announced, between Austin Aries and Rob Van Dam.

This is good news for TNA, pulling in a rare strong performance in the first hour, and holding crucial time slots later into the night as well. All the segments listed above were up six to eight percent from their average weekly score.
