Backstage the Aces & Eights are all in a circle, talking to their mystery man. Devon says the man would bring a certain "ass hole" quality to the club, and the camera pans around to see Ken Anderson sitting in a chair. He takes the two women and says he's willing to think things over, even considering what happened the last time they ran into each other.

After another commercial break, they air the Sting 1/3/13 return promo and hype next week's show, which will feature a tag team steel cage match!
(5) Bobby Roode vs. Austin Aries
The two lock up with Roode gaining the first advantage with a drop toehold into a side headlock. Aries breaks free and chains into his own side headlock. He breaks the hold and the two come face to face again. Another lock up with Aries going off the rope; he fakes an injury, even throwing up the "X". Roode doesn't buy it and kicks away at the "injured" leg. Aries throws Roode to the outside and runs the ropes looking to fly, but he turns around to see Roode already standing there. They get in each others face and start shoving as we head to our final commercial.
Before the break, Jeff Hardy is shown watching the match from the ramp. His "inner monologue" begins to roll, as he's thinking that neither man deserves to be World Champion, and he has to do something to stop them.
Commercial Break
As we come back, Austin Aries looks to be in control, but Roode quickly turns it around with a vertical suplex. Aries rolls out of the way of a jumping knee drop, and Roode rolls out of the way of a jumping elbow drop. The two head up top with Roode trying for a superplex, but Aries hangs on and boxes his ears. They trade off boxing ears, and eventually thumbing each others eyes until Aries finally manages to throw Roode to the mat. Roode dodges a missle dropkick and goes for the spear; Aries counters into the Last Chancery submission hold. Roode gets his thumb in his opponent's eye and forces the break.
Aries, still blinded from the thumb, gets locked in the crossface, but manages to counter into a pinfall attempt; two and Roode breaks the hold. Neither can get an advantage as they trade off chops in the corner. Roode begs for a timeout, and rolls up Aries with his feet on the ropes. Earl Hebner realizes it and stops the pin. Aries rolls up Roode, but Hebner realizes he's got the tights and again makes him stop. Roode with the spinebuster and heads to the outside to grab a steel chair.
Hebner throws the steel chair out of the ring and Roode turns around into a spinning forearm from Aries, who then heads to the outside and grabs his own chair. Hebner again throws the chair out. Roode and Aries get in a fight with Hebner, and the two heels take him out together.
Winner: No Decision
After the match, the two heels smile at what they've done until they realize the chair still in the ring. The brawl over the chair until Jeff Hardy hits the ring. He takes them both out with a clothesline, throws Aries to the outside and plants Bobby Roode with the Twist of Fate! The World Champion poses in the ring as Impact goes off the air for the final time in 2012.
