2/14 TNA Impact Wrestling Results – 8 Men Battle to Become #1 Contender to the World Heavyweight Championship

Backstage, Bully Ray is being comforted by Brooke Hogan, as he talks about getting injured in last week's tables match. He says all he wanted to do was marry Brooke, win the World title and be a "ring warrior", like Hulk. The make Valentine's Day plans, and Brooke tells him to wear his wedding ring, as she found it on the floor this morning after he left.

(2) Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle

Joe gets the better of their first lock-up, and Angle takes a breather on the outside. They trade blows, with Joe taking the advantage and backing Kurt into the corner with short right hand jabs. A running splash connects into the corner, followed by the CCS Enzuigiri. They come back to the center of the ring, and Angle explodes out of nowhere with a big belly-to-belly suplex. A rest hold is locked in as we head to commercial.

When we return to action, Joe looks fairly in control, trading knife-edge chops with the gold medalist. Angle gets dumped to the outside, and Joe flies through the second rope with a flying forearm. The Samoan gets a near-count as the two roll back into the ring. Angle builds some momentum and plants Joe with all three German suplexes. An Angle Slam attempt is countered, and Joe plants him with the S-T-Joe out of the corner!

Angle is placed on the top turnbuckle, but kicks his opponent away and lands a missle dropkick. Angle Slam connects, but Joe pops right back up and locks in the rear naked choke! Angle slams them both into the corner to break the hold, as Wes Brisco and Garrett Bischoff hit the ring to cause a disqualification.

Winners: N/A

Angle and Joe fight off the young Aces & Eights members, who retreat through the crowd. The competitors embrace after the match, and it looks like there's no ill will between them after that finish.
