Dolph Ziggler Posts Statement on His Scripted WWE Release; “Fired” Superstars Still Advertised for Upcoming WWE Live Shows & TV Tapings

Keeping in character with his storyline release this Monday on WWE Raw, former Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler posted the following statement on Twitter:

Despite being “fired” by the Authority, Dolph Ziggler is still being advertised for this weekend’s WWE Live events being captained by John Cena. Both Ryback and Erick Rowan are being advertised for the Roman Reigns captained live events.

For what this is worth, all three have been removed from the advertising for all upcoming Raw and Smackdown tapings in the month of January. While this could just be a case of WWE’s website failing to update its live events page (or not wanting to lose money because of a TV angle), Ziggler is still be listed for the Royal Rumble, next month’s WWE Fast Lane pay-per-view, and episodes of WWE Raw starting February 9th in Columbus, OH.
