The latest offering from WWE and NetherRealm Studios – the development team behind Mortal Kombat – combines quick-paced action and light RPG elements, as you brawl it out against AI or online opponents using fantastical versions of the WWE personalities you know and love.
Players use a team of three characters, made up of WWE Superstars, Divas and Legends. The controls are simple. Tap the screen to execute a basic attack. Tap enough and a quick-time prompt will give you the chance for a strong attack. Build up enough energy and you’ll be able to unleash special maneuvers for massive damage. These are generally over-the-top versions of WWE signature moves, similar to the ridiculous moves found in the 2011 WWE All Stars game.
WWE Immortals is free-to-play, and much like last year’s WWE Super Card, the goal is to take your money using in-game purchases. That’s right, we’ve got microtransactions! You can spend your hard-earned cash if you don’t want to spend dozens of hours racking up coins – special costumes, unique power-ups, etc.
WWE Immortals is available now for Android and iOS devices.
