NXT Superstar CJ Parker was granted his release from WWE this week, effective immediately.
Parker has been in WWE developmental since mid-2011 when it was still Florida Championship Wrestling. He has not won a match on NXT television since July 2014 and has done jobs for Hideo Itami, Solomon Crowe and Alex Riley recently. CJ is well-liked among the locker room and has been praised by a lot of the guys backstage, including Kevin Owens.
Apparently the split was amicable, as he asked for his release late last week and WWE allowed him to work the WrestleMania Axxess events on Saturday and Sunday to wrap things up.
