Detailed 4/9 WWE Live Event Results From Dublin, Ireland: Fan Notes, WWE Announces Return To Europe

WWE Live Event ResultsThe following results were sent in by Wrestlezone reader Trevor Eltsac, who attended last night’s WWE live event in Dublin, Ireland:

WWE returned to the 3 Arena in Dublin on April 9th. I would say it was 95% full and the crowd was buzzing before the show about the potential appearances of Becky Lynch, Finn Balor and Sheamus all under the same roof in a WWE ring. I knew two weeks ago Becky would not be on the show just like she wasn’t on the NXT tour of Ohio.

3 Arena is a beautiful building here in Dublin but the tight seats leave a lot to be desired and made for an uncomfortable experience.

Our ring announcer for the evening was JoJo.

**MATCH #1**
Finn Balor defeated Neville
– The reaction for Balor was deafening. Many including myself were very emotional during this for a number of reasons. The term nationalist has become a dirty term over the years but people need to know there’s nothing wrong with cheering for your country. I have been by his side since day one and I always knew this moment would come. It wasn’t an easy road. But he has become the most universslly respected wrestler on Twitter and overcome the disadvantage of his Irish accent and being aerach. After the match Balor celebrated with the Irish flag until Sheamus’ music hit. Sheamus put over Balor, but quickly turned on both Neville and Balor and said there was only room for one Irish star in the WWE as he stood over a fallen Balor who was wrapped up in the Irish flag. Seeing Sheamus and Balor in the same ring, two heroes for us, was when the tears really started coming. It’s moments like this that wrestling is still real to us. “Amhrán na bhFiann” was playing in my head for the remainder of the show.

**MATCH #2**
WWE Tag Team Championship
Tyson Kidd & Cesaro w/Natalya defeated The New Day (Big E & Kofi Kingston w/Xavier Woods)
– Lots of New Day Sucks chants!

**MATCH #3**
Jimmy Uso defeated Fandango w/Rosa Mendes
– Dead crowd for this one as many of us were on Twitter looking up and responding to references for Balor, Sheamus and Becky.

**MATCH #4**
R-Truth defeated Xavier Woods w/Big E & Kofi Kingston

**MATCH #5**
Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler & Erick Rowan defeated Bad News Barrett, Sheamus & Bray Wyatt
– Bryan pinned Barrett

**MATCH #6**
Natalya, Rosa Mendes & Emma defeated Summer Rae, Cameron & Alicia Fox
– Summer Rae cut a promo before the match that made Becky Lynch’s promo on NXT last week look like Ric Flair in his prime. Speaking of which, if you’re going to do a 6-Diva tag on a house show in Dublin why not bring in Becky Lynch? Many fans felt the same way and took to Twitter during this match.

**MATCH #7**
Damien Mizdow defeated The Miz
– Mizdow won with the Skull Crushing Finale.

**MATCH #8**
Roman Reigns defeated Big Show in a Dublin Street Fight.
– DylanWace will love this match! Very reminiscent of a Bill Dundee vs. Jerry Lawler slugest. Tables, kendo sticks and chairs. You name it. My friend Alan was literally jumping up and down screaming. Reigns is super over on house shows. Reigns with the spear. Believe that!

BIGGEST POPS and MOST MERCHANDISE SOLD
1) Reigns
2) Balor
3) Daniel Bryan

WWE returns to Dublin on November 4th with tickets going on sale on April 16th. Do the right things Vince and put Becky in the main event!
