Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown “Many Questions To Answer in 4 Weeks”

Step in the Right Direction

wwe smackdownNeville has been used sporadically since King of the Ring ended. I really do like Neville and enjoy his matches. It looks like WWE will continue to go with Stardust and Neville, which is going to be interesting.

We all knock Neville for not having a developed character…yet. Stardust is such a different and crazy character that it actually works. WWE does not waste much time on mid card feuds and a developed story.

They gave this a backstage segment, followed by a good match with Adam Rose and then another interruption from Stardust on the titantron. Time. They are giving it time to develop and I think both guys can benefit from the other. Rhodes has the skills in the ring and makes any gimmick work. Neville NEEDS a gimmick as strange as Stardust to make him learn and adapt.

Kevin Owens vs. Rusev

Owens comes out and cuts a promo about tapping out to John Cena. Out comes Rusev after Kevin Owens makes a comment about leaving on Raw and Rusev doing the same instead of getting to second base with a Lana wannabee.

The match was physical. Albeit, it was short, I felt like this could be a sign of things to come for both men. I did not love Owens walking out of the match and getting counted out. He taps out and then gets counted out. Instead of making him like every heel in the WWE (being a wuss and ducking out of trouble), why can’t you make him dominant and make him the most unique heel in the company.

You wonder why people complain. We have seen guys that tap out to John Cena fall down the ladder quickly. Kevin Owens is not like everyone else, so stop building him like it. He is not The Miz, Wade Barrett, Bray Wyatt, Rusev and others have had lengthy feuds with John Cena and end up looking weak. Kevin Owens should have NEVER tapped out and should not run away from matches.
