Where Did Kana’s WWE Ring Name Come From?

KanaAs noted, new WWE NXT signee Kana will be referred to as Asuka in WWE. The name appears to have come from Lioness Asuka, who is one of the most popular female wrestlers of all time in Japan. Lioness retired back in 2005, and was part of The Crush Gals, one of the most successful tag teams in Japanese wrestling history.

Sting Cuts New Night of Champions Promo

WWE has released a new promo from Sting which you can check out at this link. During the promo, Sting has the following to say about his Night of Champions WWE World Title match:

“I’m not here to shake hands and I’m not here to make friends. I’m here to win the one thing that has evaded me my entire career. At Night of Champions, I will defeat Seth Rollins and become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. So come back and let’s make history together… whooo!”
