Former UFC Fighter’s Impact He Could Have In WWE, Paige Shining On Her Own, Recap Of Hot Pro Wrestling Topics (Read & Watch)

FIRED UP

Today’s segment on Chair Shot Reality was Justin LaBar and Josh Isenberg getting FIRED UP on several topics including The Undertaker on Jimmy Fallon, no traditional Survivor Series matches, Summer Rae and more. Here’s some quotes from two other topics brought up in the segment:

Josh:

I’m fired up about Paige. Divas Revolution did great things. Brought Charlotte into being Divas Champion. Brought up Becky Lynch. Also brought up Sasha Banks. It also kept Nikki & Brie Bella very relevant and I’m okay with that. I’m fired up about Paige finally removed from this trio of women and doing her own thing. If there’s two divas on roster I want to see do their own thing, it’s Paige and Sasha Banks. They don’t need anyone else next to them because they are different. They are unique.Paige, look at her. Look how she acts, walks and talks. A lot of people thought the international character didn’t develop so much like Sheamus or Barrett because of language barrier. Paige has broke that language barrier and has become the most consistent diva telling stories through motions in the ring and telling stories with what she says out side the ring. Paige, I’m not turning the page because I love her.

Justin:

You want to talk stories and emotions — it was topic of my Friday column for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. It’s about a guy who could be coming to WWE very soon. Went from UFC fighter now on the indy’s and likely going to be in WWE early 2016 —  Matthew Riddle. The only guy ever been on 4 fight win streak in UFC and got fired. This guy was a good UFC fighter but his passion was pro wrestling. He got into it with the world of MMA and not being able to pass drug test with medical marijuana and that’s its own story. I want to talk about this kid, 29 year-old kid, it is amazing he had first match beginning of 2015 and how well he’s picked up pro wrestling. He’s a natural athlete and has a look. I say in my column, he’s very similar to a Rob Van Dam or Daniel Bryan with the style he uses. He has a very laid back personality like Van Dam. He’s bigger than either of those guys. There’s a lot of potential and a lot of little things he does right you can check out that makes me excited. Ken Shamrock, Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey…all 3 legendary contributions to MMA. All 3, either have done good business, are doing or going to be doing big business with WWE. It’s exciting. Another guy from MMA world over to WWE—take that pro wrestling haters.

Hot Topics In Pro Wrestling

Shane Shoemaker debuted a new weekly series for CSRWrestling.com. Here’s a sample:

This will be some of my crazy, sometimes humorous thoughts on what’s going on in the pro-wrestling world, or just what struck my fancy for the week. You’re bound to read thing such as: my obsession with Renee Young, my loathing of Bob Backlund, and my constant believing that Kevin Owens will be the greatest thing ever. This won’t be an every Saturday column — I’m gonna make you look forward to it like a Brock Lesnar return…or it could be like a Batista return, depending on how you think of it! Regardless, I’m making the run-in this week and spoiling everything.

Virgil

As I’ve been doing work for CSR for a little over half a year now, I’d hoped there would be opportunities to come into contact with either current or former talent in the wrestling business. Fortunately, that has begun to somewhat happen, but this might have been the best thing yet in regards to coming in contact with one of them.

I’ve literally read a replied email (not to me) from Virgil that read, “it’s all about that hotline bling…” referring to money he was asking to be paid for his services. I’m apparently getting too old to understand what hotline bling is, but I assure you, it’s not that, Virgil! However, if Justin LaBar and CSR are willing to pay Virgil — you know he wants something — to perform a remix version of “hotline bling” (Clothesline Ring? Does it have to make sense being Virgil?) at the television studios at Point Park University in downtown Pittsburgh, I will gladly put in my fair share in giving Virgil my 14 dollars worth of Olive Garden gift cards to pay for his services just to see him perform that now famous dance routine and song. That could be the greatest thing in the history of ever. And, it could be better than all 37 WrestleMania’s he’s been in.

This just in: Virgil is replacing Seth Rollins and will sell out AT&T Stadium setting an all-time attendance record for WrestleMania 32.
