NXT
As reported earlier, NXT tag team Chad Gable and Jason Jordan, aka “American Alpha”, will be appearing at next weekend’s EVOLVE Orlando event as part of a special meet-and-greet.
PWInsider.com is reporting the discussions for the NXT talent to appear only started about a week ago, and it was finalized the same day as the announcement. WWE made the announcements to help out EVOLVE; officials from EVOLVE are very excited about the appearances and believe it brings them more credibility.
Jordan and Gable are only appearing for an autograph signing, but it is believed Regal will appear in some sort of angle with talent similar to when Sami Zayn appeared at EVOLVE events in New York.
Chris Jericho
There was some negative feedback on social media last night stemming from Chris Jericho’s “back of the bus brothers” comment to the Usos on RAW.
Several WWE stars including JBL, Mark Henry and the Dudley Boyz have defending Jericho, insisting it was not a racist comment, and that it is just an inside term between the wrestlers. You can read / see explanations from Mark Henry and The Usos below:
#WWE #RAW OK guys. The back of the bus bros comment by @IAmJericho means the guys that drink, play cards an stay up. Up front guys go to bed.
