More Details On Lesnar v Orton WWE Live Match

Earlier this week it was announced that Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar’s SummerSlam rematch will be happening September 24th at a WWE Live event in Chicago, Il.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the WWE decided to put Lesnar on the live event instead of the September 25th Clash of Champions PPV because his contract states that he gets paid differently for live events than PPVs. PPVs typically features longer main event quality matches as opposed to quick squash matches. 

They go on to say that WWE simply asked Lesnar to work the WWE Live event in Chicago and he agreed. Lesnar was also allowed to chose his opponent based on who he felt on the roster would mean the most at the box office.

Which SummerSlam Match Was Cancelled Due To Injury?

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is also reporting that the Baron Corbin v Kalisto match that was supposed to happen at SummerSlam was actually nixed from the card because it turns out Kalisto is injured. No word on what the injury may be but following Kalisto’s match with Apollo Crews on August 2nd on Smackdown he had to be helped to the back.
