Shawn Michaels Appearing at Royal Rumble on Sunday

WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels is being advertised for the WWE Royal Rumble kickoff show this Sunday, alongside Renee Young, Booker T and Jerry “The King” Lawler.

In related news, HBK’s new WWE Studios movie, “The Resurrection of Gavin Stone”, was #18 at the box office this weekend, and brought in $1.375 million. The movie was produced on a $2 million budget.

Sabu Needs Another Surgery, Talks Wrestling Future

ECW Legend Sabu recently spoke with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated’s Extra Mustard and talked his current health status following hip replacement surgery and his future in pro wrestling. Below is a quote from Sabu:

“I have to continue wrestling. I’m not done yet. I don’t know when I’ll be done, but I just know that I’m not.

“I’m doing good. I had hip replacement surgery, but I need shoulder replacement surgery and my lower back needs fixing. Those are actually more painful, but not more painful when I wrestle, so I can live with it. My hip was the most painful when I wrestled, so I got my hip fixed.”

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
