BetStars: ‘THE ROCK’ IS NOW 20/1 TO WIN US 2020 ELECTION

Odds have been smacked down following formal creation of election campaign committee

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s presidential ambitions have taken a step closer to reality with the formation of a campaign committee to champion the former wrestler’s cause and online betting site BetStars has chopped the odds on him winning the 2020 election to 20/1.

BetStars Director of Trading Ian Marmion said: “The Rock is now 20/1 to win the 2020 US presidential election and elbow Donald Trump out of the Oval Office. A formal election campaign committee has now been created and his supporters on social media are calling for him to make America rock again. In May, we halved the odds on The Rock winning in 2020 from 100/1 to 50/1 after he revealed he was grappling with the idea of making a bid.

“While White House incumbent Donald Trump remains 12/5 favourite to be re-elected, The Rock is now priced ahead of 2016 candidates Bernie Sanders and Hilary Clinton, who can each be backed at 25/1 . Trump’s vice president Mike Pence and Democrat Elizabeth Warren are joint-second favourites at 7/1, while Facebook supremo Mark Zuckerberg, who is completing a tour of the US, is 16/1.”
