Impact Preview & Discussion Thread: Valkyrie v Rosemary Demon’s Den Match, Mathews Challenges Petey, Moose v Sami Callihan, More

On if he takes Josh Mathews seriously going into the match Mathews requested against him tonight on Impact:

PW: For him to even be challenging me… I don’t know if I should feel disrespected or laugh at him. Is he serious? Sure, I’ll step in the ring with him and see what he’ll do. I don’t want to hurt him but maybe I do want to hurt him, I’m so indifferent about it. I don’t know what to do about it. I guess I’ll show up tonight and we’ll have a match.

On Josh Mathews stealing his idea for the Impact podcast:

PW: I pitched to Impact that they should let me and my podcast co-host Dennis do the Impact podcast. “Oh no,” they said. Well, fast forward a couple weeks and Josh Mathews is stealing my ideas. I see how it is, I guess there is more on the line because I have actual heat with Josh Mathews. I’m going to beat the crap out of him.

On if he had issues with Matt Sydal gifting the Impact Grand Championship to his “spiritual advisor” Josh Mathews:

PW: That’s tough because I feel like my last X-Division Championship run was gifted to me. I won the X-Division Championship shot in the Feast or Fired match and then Steiner beat me for my briefcase. After awhile he said I earned his respect, he gave me back my briefcase, I went in, cashed it in on Jay Lethal and won in thirty seconds. I felt like that was kind of gifted to me but then again, I went on and defended it. I couldn’t see Josh Mathews defending the Grand Championship… he’s not even an active wrestler.
