Big E

Okay, I’ll be honest. I just wanted Big Cass and Big E to fight because their names are both Big, and I feel like The New Day could turn that into at least one funny segment.

There’s literally no other reason than that, and an elongated feud between these two would likely be really tough to watch.

That one promo, though, was something I was looking forward to.

The Miz

While I could have put down a number of people like Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles and others who I feel could have maybe gotten a good match out of Cass, none of them would have struck me as feuds that would have been all that entertaining on the mic.

With The Miz, though, that’s his bread and butter. You can always count on him being able to sell you pretty much any program he’s currently in, as he has the gift of gab and manages to exploit little details about the people he’s feuding with.

At one point in time, Cass was actually pretty decent on the mic himself, and when he was allowed to talk for more than just a few seconds of the same catchphrases, he could cut some entertaining promos.

Assuming he would be the babyface here, I could see him having a nice back and forth with The Miz, who makes himself an easy target for people who want to make fun of him, but can always bite back with a few tongue lashes of his own.

The matches to come out of the feud might have been a little rough, but they might have been surprising. It’s hard to tell who is going to have chemistry and who isn’t, and sometimes, a feud like this could be a shocker in the best way.

All in all, Cass making his exit from WWE isn’t going to be the biggest deal in the world. While any of these options, along with all the others not mentioned, could have been something special, they could have just as easily been a waste of time that we’re going to avoid having to sit through.

Never say never in WWE, as history has shown that people make their returns in all sorts of situations.

If the fates have it, these may come to pass one day. If not, well, someone will finally have to figure out how to actually teach some other people to be seven foot tall.
