WWE has been known to stick to some of their most successful markets for major events as I noted in my last article, but what about the venues that WWE does not visit that often that always put up big numbers and garner huge support? This list will look at 5 cities that have hosted a relatively small number of shows since 2015 but have put up big numbers each time. his list looks at all events and shows from January 1, 2015 until today and covers 3.5 years of programming. This list is also presented in alphabetical order with no special order of relevancy.
Detroit, Michigan
From the Royal Rumble to WrestleMania, Detroit has previously been a top 10 city for the WWE but has saw a steady decline in events in recent years. Detroit has only hosted 1 PPV since 2015 and that was Hell In A Cell 2017 to celebrate the opening of the new Little Caesars Arena. Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon had that infamous HIAC match. Detroit has averaged over 11000 fans at each of its shows which is above almost half of the cities that made the Top 10 list. Detroit will next host a Smackdown on September 4th.
London, United Kingdom
London has been hollering for a PPV for quite some time now and they have legitimate reason to do so. London is one of only 2 markets in the UK that the WWE consistently visits. London almost always hosts a RAW and Smackdown on consecutive nights in early May. They average almost 12,500 fans per show and are one of the few cities that have seen attendance consistently increasing over recent years. The next time WWE visits the UK they will be in Manchester, so for the time being there are no solidified plans to visit London. London is known to have some of the best crowds in the business but have arguably failed to have any big memorable moments in recent memory.
