El Hijo Del Vikingo Won’t Be Content Until He Faces Kenny Omega, Wants The Whole World To Know His Name

El Hijo Del Vikingo wants to conquer the United States wrestling landscape.

In an interview with Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture, El Hijo Del Vikingo spoke about starting to wrestle with independent promotions in the United States. Vikingo made his GCW debut on December 16 and he says he’s happy with how things progressed so far.

“Wow, truth is, to be able to debut with this promotion, I feel very happy and nervous because it’s a great responsibility. After so much time that we had waited, myself and the promotions, today we can start on this trajectory that ‘El Gran Jinete’ will begin to make a reality. Imagine the weight I have on my shoulders to be able to give the matches that people love, now in these different lands, to conquer the United States, go conquer Los Angeles, the truth is I feel very happy.”

Vikingo knows that getting his work visa to wrestle in the US allows him to tackle new challenges and he now wants to be a household name.

“It’s something cool because I once dreamt it, and now I am realizing this dream, I am living it, and it’s a great responsibility. I have to keep preparing myself day after day because we are going to those new places, conquering these new places, new strong rivals, that keep adding up. I love it it because I love the big challenges, and I know you all love to see us in the ring, one-on-one, three on three, two on two, it doesn’t matter. The point is that you know when ‘El Gran Jinete’ El Hijo Del Vikingo is in the ring, people know it’s a guarantee.

“Really we’re looking for my curriculum to be larger, and truthfully that the name Hijo De Vikingo is known worldwide. We’re making it happen, we’re on the right path, and we’re gonna continue putting the effort so that it keeps happening and that the whole world learns of the name Hijo Del Vikingo.”

Vikingo said that some of his goals for the new year include settling his feud with Gringo Loco, teasing that it could be settled in a lucha de apuestas match. Additionally, he said he wants a match with Kenny Omega and won’t be content until it happens.

El Hijo Del Vikingo secured his United States work visa in October with the assistance of Masked Republic’s Lucha Libre Agency team.
