Stars in Progress: Bella Twins, Tensai/Cena, Punk/Bryan

After last Sunday's Extreme Rules pay per view and an "interesting" Monday Night Raw, I figured I would take a fresh, reactive look at WWE's stars and programs and what it seems like they'll be doing going forward. John Cena vs Johnny Ace/Lord Tensai

ONE STEP DOWN

Nick Paglino came on my "VOW Reaction" show after Raw on Monday to give his thoughts on Cena's future and why his win over Brock at Extreme Rules was completely wrong. You can check out that video HERE. In hindsight, it's hard to argue Nick's point. So, I won't.

I wanted to try and give WWE the benefit of the doubt after the pay per view last weekend. John Cena beat Brock Lesnar, but rather than sell his injuries from the match and take time off, WWE decides to have him stick around and set up his next match immediately.

I really can't blame Brock for being upset backstage. The whole program has been handled poorly.

One of the worst parts about this is John Laurinaitis' involvement. Several months ago, it seemed like WWE was going to have a CM Punk vs Johnny Ace feud. It fit and the two of them certainly had chemistry. Now, they've come full circle and Johnny is going to work with the one guy that needs his rub the least.

I can't imagine this match taking place so quickly. Surely, WWE's going to swap Johnny out with Tensai before Over The Limit gets here. If not, I'm afraid they are wasting the potential of Johnny Ace's first match by rushing it. And by it being against the wrong person.

Of course, I have very little interest in John Cena vs Lord Tensai as an alternative.
