WWE Payback is live on June 16th from Chicago, Illinois. Instead of WWE going back and picking a previous name for an event, they decided to go with "Payback." I will be the first to say that I really do not like the name. It is extremely similar to WWE Backlash, does not really grab my attention, and sounds too much like their contender for the WWE Championship. Nonetheless, this got me thinking of some of the horrible Pay Per View names, concepts, and ideas over the history of WWE. We have all fallen in love with the Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, Summerslam, and the Survivor Series as the four big events, but the ones that surround them are just as important at times. We have been grateful with some creative names, such as Money in the Bank getting its own event, Extreme Rules keeping steady, and even ones like WWE TLC making a solid run. This week, I want to look back at events that did not make the long run and were just bad names for events.
