Isenberg Reacts: WWE Raw “So Many Highs and So Many Lows”

Seth, Kane and Randy Talk Extreme Rules

wwe raw Seth Rollins comes out with J and J Security and Kane. He talks about beating Randy Orton by himself. Kane looks at him and jokes to Rollins, talking about how he is old and forgettable. Kane and Rollins exchange words until Randy Orton comes out. He wants a rematch, especially since the RKO was banned and Kane said he should have been disqualified.

Here comes Roman Reigns, who stands on the table. He tells Seth Rollins to shut the hell up and says they are missing his giant because of what he did last night. He wants a match for the title and Seth Rollins says he beat them both, so neither of them deserve a chance to fight him. Kane says he will let the WWE Universe to decide who Seth Rollins will face at WWE Payback.

Solid opening to Raw. It intrigues us to keep watching to see who Seth Rollins will face. I could do without another tag team match main event, but I still think this a plus in the right direction. Kane somehow will get under the skin of Seth Rollins and continue his turn. It is not the worst thing, but there are so many others that should be in a main event spot over Kane right now. I get it, I really do. I just do not want this to happen because nobody invests time into Kane.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Bad News Barret: King of The Ring Round One

Barrett starts off early with some kicks and punches. Dolph Ziggler hits a dropkick and Barrett spills to the outside as we head to a commercial break. Dolph Ziggler moves away from Barrett, who rams his shoulder into the ring post. He comes firing with clotheslines, ducks a neckbreaker and then rolls up Barrett for a two count.

Barrett tries a Wasteland, but Ziggler connects with a DDT. Bad News throws Ziggler into the post and then hits Wasteland for two. Sheamus comes out and distracts Dolph Ziggler, which allows Bad News Barrett to hit the Bullhammer for the win.

Barrett and Ziggler put on a smooth and effective match, one that gave both men enough offense to feel like they could win. Dolph loses, thanks to Sheamus. It makes sense and this gaurantees that Sheamus loses his match later, correct? Both men are really playing the role given to them. It is effective storytelling and Sheamus continues to tick off the crowd. He is winning at being a heel.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
