Isenberg Reacts: Impact Wrestling “Kurt Angle is Still The Man”

Kurt Angle is Still the Man

impact wrestlingThe TNA World Heavyweight Champion faces two opponents in the night. To kick things off, Rockstar Spud gets his chance at glory. After a shorter than expected match, Angle picks up the win and heads to the main event against Austin Aries.

This match showcased exactly what it needed, which was a little bit of heart from Spud and more veteran expertise in the ring from Angle. There was NO way that Spud would beat Angle and for us to truly believe that could happen.

Later in the night, we get treated to a main event between Aries and Angle. Austin Aries throws his body all over the ring and even to the outside. He misses a Suicide Dive and rams into the steel guard rail.  After some great back and forth grappling, a reversed Brainbuster and more suplexes, Angle gets Austin Aries to tap out. After the match, EC3 attacks.

FINALLY. This is what TNA has needed. New blood, fresh blood and deserving blood in the main event. No offense to the guys who bust their humps for years, but EC3 is the right call…right now. Kurt was injured from EC3 last year. EC3 has done nothing but impress on the mic and in the ring. Speaking, he reminds me of a young Chris Jericho. When Jericho was a heel in WCW, He kept it simple but so effective. Sometimes, his nonsensical words spoke volumes. EC3 needs this shot. He need that title. There is not much else for him to do. Think of it as this: he wins and becomes champion. Whoever beats him for that title is a made man as well.
