Bret 'Hitman' Hart starts things off by acknowledging the great crowd response by saying it's been awhile so he'll enjoy this. He says it took a long time to get there, then the fans start an "Ole!" chant, and he says it's good to be back in Montreal. Bret says alot has happened in 15 years, and the last time he was there was a dark time, but it was also one of the greatest moments in his career. Bret says the fans got him through that time, and he likes to think it's a Canadian moment, but he wants to thank them all for the years of support they showed him.
CM Punk comes out and says with all due respect to Bret, all of the things that Bret had happen to him was already detailed in his book. Punk says he would never write a book about himself but if he did he would call it "What If?" then he asks what if they faced each other at Survivor Series in 1997? Bret says it wouldn't have mattered what Vince McMahon would have done, because he would have put him in the Sharpshooter so fast it's not funny. Punk says he doesn't believe that, and he says WWE wouldn't exist if it really happened because he doesn't need Vince's help to beat him. He says the Attitude Era would have never happened and he would have jumped to WCW, then Bret says he underestimated Punk's intelligence.
Bret says he's still the best as far as he's concerned, but Punk says that sickens him that Bret still calls himself that because it isn't true. Punk says he can call himself the King of England, or Memphis like Jerry Lawler, but it still doesn't mean it's true. Bret says he doesn't know what Punk's problem with Jerry Lawler is, but he knows Lawler always showed up to a fight, and he wants to show everyone what the 'best in the world' did last week. After a recap of last week's show, Punk says he was in his hometown and they treat him respectfully, but he returned to get some belongings and he ran into John Cena. (Cont'd…)
