It looks like Vince McMahon and the WWE are going to step away from pursuing any former TNA talents. This includes Alex Shelley, Devon Dudley, Ric Flair, and anyone else who has worked with the company recently. According to Wrestling Observer editor Dave Meltzer, The WWE is staying well away from any and all former TNA talent while they are set to do battle in court.

This is all set up because of TNA Entertainment, LLC. filing a lawsuit in Nashville, Tennessee against World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc and Brian Wittenstein on May 23, 2012. Brian Wittenstein previously worked for TNA before working for WWE. TNA accused WWE of obtaining secret contract information in an attempt to steal their talent in violation of Tennessee's Uniform Trade Secrets Act.

It has also been heavily rumored that Alex Shelley and Ric Flair were in discussions with WWE about joining the company.  Meltzer, however, reveals that the organization is not negotiating with either talent despite being legally able to.

"Nobody is talking about Shelley and they won't even officially talk to Flair even though his non-compete is up," he wrote.
