Comcast Ending Peacock Premium Promotion For Xfinity Customers

If you’re a WWE fan on Xfinity, you’re going to need to start paying for Peacock at some point in the future.

Since WWE leased out the rights to their streaming library to Peacock, Xfinity customers have enjoyed the WWE product for free for well over a year. But that’s about to change.

According to Variety, Jeff Shell of NBC Universal stated at the 24th Annual Communications Conference that “at some point,” the Peacock Premium will have to be paid for by Xfinity customers. When reached for comment, an NBCU rep told Variety that they didn’t have information on when the free promotion service would be ending.

So essentially, this is a shift that could happen at any time. How this will affect WWE’s viewership on the streaming platform will be a very interesting story to follow. WWE has gone on record several times that their premium live events have seen a rise in viewership since moving to the Peacock streaming service.
