NXT Championship Match Confirmed For WWE NXT Stand & Deliver

The roadblocks have been cleared, so Bron Breakker and Carmelo Hayes will finally clash.

On the “Roadblock” special episode of WWE NXT on March 7, Breakker and the Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed) defeated Indus Sher (Jinder Mahal, Veer Mahaan & Sanga). Later in the show, Breakker came to the ring and noted that he was going to accelerate the timeline by delivering a message that was intended for the following week on Tuesday night. He stated that it was time for him to face Hayes, and he challenged “Melo” to a match at NXT Stand & Deliver.

Hayes came to the ring and proceeded to look back on their journey together. Both men noted that Triple H and Shawn Michaels had told them NXT was theirs for the taking, and they made the most of that opportunity. They also made it clear that they had been keeping an eye on each other, so they saw their success. Hayes agreed to face Breakker, and he closed out his message by saying he’s never been secondary to anyone. He extended a handshake, and Breakker accepted it, seemingly confirming the match.

Hayes, the winner of the 2021 Breakout Tournament. is a two-time NXT North American Champion, and he unofficially earned a title shot by defeating Apollo Crews at NXT Vengeance Day. Breakker is a two-time NXT Champion; his second reign began when he defeated Dolph Ziggler on the April 4 episode of RAW.
