Cody Rhodes Ends Feud With WWE Star On Plane Ride From Saudi Arabia

You’ve heard of the ‘Plane Ride From Hell.’ You’ve probably also heard about the infamous WWE plane ride from Saudi Arabia in 2020. Well… this is a new story about another WWE plane ride back from Saudi Arabia, but this one has a much happier ending.

Last year, Cody told Peter Rosenberg that he “might dislike R-Truth more than anybody in the whole business.” Rhodes estimated that Truth beat him 42 times as Stardust during his original run in WWE. He said it might be petty, but Cody told Truth when he returned to WWE in 2022 that Truth would be the one “looking up at the lights” this time. Rhodes also said he wanted to kick Truth in the face and joked that he’s on borrowed time.

More recently, Rhodes detailed his grudge with Truth on a recent episode of his What Do You Want To Talk About? series. Cody has made the feud with Truth a bit of an ongoing gag, but he now says the feud with R-Truth is over.

Cody Rhodes finally ended his feud with R-Truth

Rhodes took part in a SummerSlam Kickoff Party on Friday, and one fan asked him to “finish the story” with Truth during the Q&A session. However, Cody Rhodes said he already ended his feud with R-Truth in the most heartwarming way.

“The feud with Ronnie, R-Truth, who I lost to 38 times as Stardust, as ‘mustache’ Cody Rhodes, he ruined my jacket the first week I had it as ‘Dashing’ Cody Rhodes,” Cody explained. “Anyways, the feud’s over, and here’s why. I’m just going to [give] full disclosure here. Coming back from Saudi Arabia on a charter flight, I decided I wanted to get a little ‘old school.’

“I wanted that plane rockin,’’ Cody continued. “Everyone’s sleeping and playing their Switch, Gen-Z’s all hood up, you know — nah, I wanted to make some noise… I made too much noise, so I had to be helped to the front of the plane. And it was R-Truth who did it. I looked up at him and I said, ‘The debt has been paid.’ And then I fell asleep in the most awkward, Peter Griffin-like position ever. So, it’s over.”

Cody says there’s not really much of a story to finish, but closed by teasing that there might be one way to finish it.

“The story — I can’t touch him. Also he’s beloved, so it’s like, what do we do? Do we turn heel so we can wrestle R-Truth?” [laughs]
