WWE Referee Charles Robinson Shuts Down Rumor About His Health

WWE referee Charles Robinson has taken some brutal bumps in recent months. He is, however, still alive and kicking down rumors that say otherwise.

Over on Instagram, Robinson responded to a claim that he had “passed away,” with the account behind it going so far as to make a graphic of Robinson’s face that read “In Memory of Ref Lil’ Naitch.”

“I am alive and well,” Robinson wrote alongside a screenshot of the fake memorial post. “Some people are just stinky nasty old butt holes that spread lies. Do not believe anything you read on the Internet. Have a great week. #NOTDEAD.”

Robinson, 61 years old, recently revealed that he had sustained a cracked rib after inadvertently being hit with a spear from WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg at Saturday Night’s Mian Event on July 12. Goldberg went on to lose the match to then-WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.

At WWE Night of Champions on June 28, Robinson went viral after being launched across the ringside area by John Cena as he ran down to the ring. Moments after, Cena retained the Undisputed WWE Championship over CM Punk.

Now the senior referee for WWE, Robinson began officiating for the company in 2001 shortly after the shut down of WCW. Currently, he resides on the WWE SmackDown brand, with additionally appearances coming at WWE premium live events.
