AEW is giving fans another great way to watch its pay-per-view events.
On Wednesday, All Elite Wrestling announced that AEW pay-per-views are coming to HBO Max. The first event, which will air live without ads, will be AEW All Out on September 20. HBO Max is also offering subscribers a great price, as they can purchase the event for $39.99, a $10 discount compared to other providers.
In addition, AEW’s HBO Max announcement graphic also confirmed an earlier start time for the 2025 All Out event. All Out was previously advertised as starting at 8 pm EST. However, the event will now start at 3 pm EST.
Why did AEW change the start time for All Out?
According to a new report from Fightful (via Fightful Select), the promotion chose to run the earlier, afternoon start time for All Out for an important reason. AEW sources speaking to the outlet claim that the success of Forbidden Door, which aired in the United States starting at 1 pm EST, “helped contribute to the decision.” It was also noted that the decision to change the start time has been discussed for several weeks.
This is not the only matinee show that All Elite Wrestling has run, as the company also started All In: Texas 2025 at 3:00 p.m. ET. This year, AEW has been faced with heavy attempts by WWE to counterprogram AEW events. This includes WWE Wrestlepalooza on September 20, which takes place in Indianapolis on the same day as All Out. WWE Wrestlepalooza also marks the debut of WWE Premium Live Events on ESPN’s new direct-to-consumer streaming platform.
