Wade Barrett responds to Nikki Bella‘s recent remarks about a missed interaction.
The real-life Stu Bennett has been catching flak from the internet over his perceived ageist remarks against her. For context, Barrett implied Bella was rusty and “desperate to prove she still has it” during the Clash in Paris pre-show.
Nikki Bella addressed Barrett’s comments on a recent episode of The Nikki & Brie Show. There, Nikki said she wanted to have a conversation with Wade before claiming the WWE color commentator “avoided making eye contact with me in the hallway” this past Monday on RAW.
Taking to X, Wade Barrett said he would be happy to have the conversation with Bella. He then expressed his issue that she aired her grievances on her podcast instead of bringing it up “when we said hello to each other at RAW.”
“I had no idea Nicole felt this way, and I’m happy to have this ‘conversation’ any time she likes,” Barrett said. “I wish she’d brought it up when we said hello to each other at Raw, rather than via her podcast. I don’t understand the avoiding claim at all, simply not true.”
Nikki Bella competed at WWE Clash in Paris
Nikki Bella challenged Becky Lynch for her Women’s Intercontinental Championship at WWE Clash in Paris this past Sunday. Despite putting up a fight, Bella failed to beat Lynch for her title in front of a red-hot French crowd.
Lynch would go on to cost CM Punk the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event against Seth Rollins. The match also featured Jey Uso and LA Knight. Punk and Lynch would trade barbs the following Monday on RAW, with the “Straight Edge Superstar” teasing a major return.
