Booker T gives his take on AEW possibly running a big event the same day WWE hosts WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia.
On the latest episode of The Hall of Fame Podcast, NXT commentator Booker T spoke about the possibility of AEW running a big show in the United States the same day as WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia and why he wouldn’t do it.
“That may sound good, but if it flops – egg all over your face,” Booker T said. “So me, personally, I wouldn’t even want to venture into doing something like that. Me personally. Just because I wouldn’t want to take that risk of losing and looking a certain way just because I was trying to do something because of… that’s just me. You might be shooting yourself in the foot.” [H/T: WrestleTalk]
It’s yet to be determined if Tony Khan even has an interest in doing something like this in 2027. But you can bet it will be a big talking point for the next year or so.
