Triple H is giving the WWE Universe what they want next month at Crown Jewel.
Last night, John Cena took to social media to gauge interest in him having one last match against AJ Styles before he retires at the end of the year. The response was overwhelming, and it led to Cena posting a follow-up post, tweeting out:
“I do not choose my opponents, but I (even through tough times) ALWAYS listen to the fans.
@AJStylesOrg are you listening?
Better yet @TripleH ….. are YOU listening??? #CenaVsStyles,” John Cena said in a post.
AJ Styles would respond earlier this morning in favor of this match, and this eventually led to an announcement from WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H, making the match for Crown Jewel next month, tweeting out:
“@JohnCena vs. @AJStylesOrg is a match we all want to see. And at #WWECrownJewel…we will. , October 11 on @espn & @netflix,” Triple H said in a post.
The current card for WWE Crown Jewel is as follows:
- WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins
- Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer vs. WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton (Nia Jax or Jade Cargill)
- John Cena vs. AJ Styles
