Kevin Nash details the change in WWE‘s royalty checks since TKO took over the company.
On the latest episode of Kliq This: The Kevin Nash Podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer spoke about the royalty check that he and Sean Waltman recently received, calling it rotten compared to the ones they got in the past before TKO took over the company.
“I was talking to Mr. Waltman this week. We had our weekly update. We both got our royalty checks,” Kevin Nash said. “I said, ‘Holy f*ck, the last one was good, this one was rotten.’ I mean, it was half.
“When I was making huge money in my royalties, it was broken down. It would say ‘nWo T-shirts,’ ‘nWo women’s T-shirt.’ Now it says ‘nWo intellectual property,’ and there’s just a number. There’s no subcategories.
“It’s just, it’s going to be a forensic accounting, and I’ll f*cking sue them. I mean, that’s just the way it goes. It got weird when they sold… If you take all those guys and you cut that in half and put that back on the books, that’s several million dollars.” [H/T: WrestlingNews.co]
Kevin Nash missed Sting’s last match for WWE
Kevin Nash has shown a lot of loyalty to WWE in recent years. So much so, he missed the retirement match of his friend Sting out of loyalty to the company.
“I’m a WWE guy,” Kevin Nash said. “I can’t have a picture of me in the crowd and underneath it say, ‘Is All Elite.’ I just can’t have that. It just doesn’t work for…. One of my closest f*cking friends is Paul Levesque. As much as I love Steve [Sting], and I know he’ll only have one last match, I will watch it, we will talk about it. I just won’t…I haven’t been to a WrestleMania, a RAW, a SmackDown, or any of the other pay-per-views.
“I haven’t been to any events. I don’t want to go to any place and be around a bunch of people, let alone wrestling people. I just don’t want to do it. I’m a hermit, and that’s it. Going to the gym the other day, the place was packed, I just walked right out. I said I’ll go someplace else.”
