WWE star Dominik Mysterio’s new tag team name has been confirmed ahead of a major upcoming match.
Mysterio may still be part of The Judgment Day, but his latest tag team partner isn’t from the faction. Instead, Mysterio has been teaming with El Grande Americano, who has been helping him in several matches over the past few months.
Their growing partnership has raised questions within The Judgment Day, especially as Mysterio seems to be getting closer to Americano. Their partnership began at AAA’s Heroes Inmortales 2025 event in Mexico City, where Mysterio defended his AAA Mega Championship against Dragon Lee.
After Mysterio won using his boots, Vikingo attacked him, but El Grande Americano ran out to help. That moment marked the start of their alliance. The duo recently picked up a huge win in the main event of a recent AAA show at Alianzas, defeating Dragon Lee and El Hijo del Vikingo, after Vikingo turned heel and attacked Lee.
Following their win, Mysterio was celebrating with El Grande Americano when they were interrupted by The Lucha Bros, who reunited for the first time since leaving AEW. They challenged Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano to a match in AAA on December 20.
After the match was made official, AAA announced the name of the Dominik Mysterio–El Grande Americano tag team: Los Gringos Locos 2.0. The name is a clear tribute to the legendary AAA duo Los Gringos Locos, originally made famous by Eddie Guerrero and Art Barr.
